Fox Run in no danger from eminent domain

I would like to address information that was published in “Letters to the Editor” dated July 31, 2024, regarding “Pedestrian Interconnectivity vs Yards.” It implied that our neighborhood, Fox Run, could be subject to eminent domain and intrusive property rights by the taking of residents’ front yards for sidewalks, greenways or walking trails.

One could assume this could happen in any neighborhood; however, as the current president of the HOA in Fox Run, I can attest that Fox Run has always had a very professional and open relationship with the Town of Farragut and anything that could impact our residents has been discussed, not dictated.

We were actively involved in the Union Road upgrade, ensuring no affected resident was impacted without their knowledge and approval. The Town of Farragut actively engaged with the HOA to negotiate the purchase of construction easements and right-of-way property.

Everything was above board and professionally executed.

Fox Run HOA residents are not in any jeopardy of losing their property to an eminent domain grab.
