CCS f’ball Lions roar vs. CAK JV, grab 49-34 win

The Steve Matthews era of Concord Christian School football started strong, especially offensively, at CAK Monday evening, Aug. 19, with a 49-34 win against the Warriors junior varsity.

Racking up 508 total yards of offense as a team, CCS freshman quarterback Deklan Meisner was 10-of-11 passing for 194 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed three times for 56 yards, as the Lions amassed 306 total rushing yards on just 13 carries.

Dawson Williford had four catches for 119 yards and two TDs, while Daybrian Owen rushed twice for 105 yards and one score. Kicker Pedro Sabat was 7-of-7 on his conversion kicks.
