Hidden Hero Award Launched by Rotary Club of Farragut
Rotary Club of Farragut recently announced the creation of the Hidden Hero Award to recognize unsung heroes in the Knox County community who go out of their way to help others.
“The Hidden Hero Award is our way to honor individuals in our community who exemplify the Rotary motto of ‘Service Above Self,’” RCF president Scott Bertini said.
“Anyone may nominate an individual for the Hidden Hero Award,” said Tom Woodbery, RCF Youth Services Committee co-chairman. “Nominees must live, work or render service in Knox County and demonstrate a strong commitment to service to others. Nominees do not have to be a member of Rotary.
“To nominate a person as a Hidden Hero, complete a brief form explaining why you think that person deserves special recognition,” he said.
“The form can be completed in minutes and is available at bit.ly/RotaryHiddenHero,” Woodbery added.
Deadline for nominations of the first Hidden Hero Award is Sunday, Sept. 22. RCF will announce the award winner in November.
