Casual Pint’s new brand focus on food

KNOXVILLE — The Casual Pint of Northshore now has new branding to better describe what it has to offer at 2045 Thunderhead Road.

Brother and sister, Josh Robinette and Lindsey Davis, have taken over the craft beer and rebranded it as a “craft beerstro,” offering food to go along with the suds.

“We have a variety of items that pair nicely with the craft beers that we offer,” Davis said. “We have shareables, like our pretzels and housemade beer cheese.

“We do some really nice wings,” she added “We’re doing a brand new hamburger. We do a nice offering of some different flatbreads, wraps and salads.

“We’re also open for lunch.”

The Northshore Casual Pint initially opened in 2011 as a family-owned neighborhood craft beer market. “Josh and I are actually the original founders of Casual Pint, so we are the franchisor, and this is what we call our home base,” Davis said. “We try to stay away from the ‘corporate’ word.”

The previous franchisees of that location, Chris Owens and Mary Sweeney, decided to diversify their interests, giving Davis and Robinette the opportunity to “have this store back as a corporate location,” Robinette said.

However, “this location is new to us in terms of ownership,” Davis said.

“Really, what’s new is the kitchen and the brand,” Robinette said.

What previously was The Casual Pint Craft Beer Market, known in Knoxville as, is now is The Casual Pint Craft Beerstro with the offerings of the food and craft beers.

“We started doing food in our concept back in 2016 and 2017, our larger growth phases,” Robinette said. “Honestly, it’s been an evolution.

“Even today, we’re always trying to innovate and have new products; but as of 2023 is when we actually trademarked the term ‘beerstro’ and added that to our official branding and look,” he added. “That’s really the whole package that we’re offering now as a franchise system. We’ve been trying to reinforce and grow here.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17. “We are doing the ribbon cutting around the rebranding and the whole new look of the store,” Robinette said.

Store hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone is 865-248-3151.
