At 1:32 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit was dispatched to a Turkey Creek Road residence for a hit-and-run investigation. Complainant said sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. “an unknown (driver) struck his brick mailbox, causing it to fall over,” the report stated.
Complainant said he did not witness the incident, “and there were no video surveillance cameras on (complainant’s) residence or on surrounding residences. While examining the mailbox, I located pieces of a broken taillight with ‘Honda’ (inscribed) on the plastic ... .” Total value of damage was listed at $1,000.
