Children clamored on motorcycles, mowers, tractors and fire engines during Town of Farragut’s annual Fun with Farragut’s Fleet in Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 Watt Road, Saturday morning, Aug. 17.

Town administrator David Smoak reported more than 900 attended the event, which featured not only the Town’s vehicles, but motorized stock from Rural Metro, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, First Utility District, Vulcan Materials and more.

New this year, children were able to sell items they made — from crafts to cookies — at a Children’s Entrepreneural Farmers Market on park grounds Aug. 17.

Run by Sara Badgett, this is the first year for the market in Farragut and Knoxville, Badgett said.
