• Knoxville Habitat for Humanity has announced Anna Engelstad recently was selected as the organization’s new chief executive officer.
After a comprehensive search that considered more than 100 candidates from across the United States, Engelstad emerged as the top choice to lead the nonprofit’s efforts in building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in the Knoxville community, according to a KHH press release.
Her appointment took effect Sunday, Sept 1.
“Engelstad brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to affordable housing and community development,” the release stated. “She has dedicated her career to creating sustainable and inclusive communities, aligning perfectly with Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s mission to ensure that everyone has a decent place to live.”
As CEO, Engelstad will oversee all aspects of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity’s operations, including home construction, community engagement and fundraising efforts.
• Knoxville commercial photographer Colby McLemore, owner of Colby’s Photos & Videos, was voted onto Tennessee Professional Photographers Association board of directors at its fall convention in Franklin in late August.
“Colby is a great asset to our organization. Whether it’s helping others feel welcome, volunteering during our conferences, being a committee chair or making us laugh, to name a few, you can tell he wants this organization to be the best it can be. We are lucky to have him, and I’m looking forward to serving with him this year,” current year TPPA president Angela Seats said.
He is active throughout the industry, a press release stated.
