New Christian Life Center for CAK high schoolers
A groundbreaking took place in July and the building is “almost done,” said Christa Margene, CAK director of marketing and communications, noting the school is expected to hold a ribbon cutting in the next few months.
The CLC “will be a facility dedicated to the spiritual growth of our students and a place for our high schoolers to gather for worship and chapel each week,” she added.
“The space also will enhance our ability to develop the God-given talents of our students by serving as a 500-seat performing arts center.”
“We are thrilled that we finally broke ground on our Christian Life Center,” Head of School Rich Fulford said. “This is an exciting time to be a Warrior.
“We are encouraged by everything God is doing on our campus and know that this building will better help us serve our students and prepare them to fulfill the great commission,” he added. “We are thankful for each of our donors who have helped us reach this milestone.”
While waiting for the new CLC complex to open, students have been using the high school commons area for chapel, or the campus gym, Margene said.
“We have also used the campus center gym for our theater productions in the past,” she added.
“This (CLC) facility will be a central point of CAK, fulfilling its mission of creating disciples while expanding the impact of all performing arts at our school,” said Josh Whitehead, Board of Trustees president. “The board is incredibly grateful for each family that is partnering with us to enable our school to equip the next generation of Christ-followers.”
“The groundbreaking (marked) the beginning of construction for this transformative facility,” Margene said.
CAK leadership, including board members, along with donors and capital campaign co-chairs were present for this groundbreaking event.
“We encourage everyone to follow our website and social media channels for updates and progress regarding the Christian Life Center,” She added.
