• At 4:11 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report a theft from 11409 Municipal Center Drive. “Complainant (said) she went to mail a check at the U.S. Post Office (and) dropped off the check inside the building in the mail slot by the front desk,” the report stated.

Complainant said the check was made out (to a company) for $1,055.60 with a St. Louis address as its destination. However, “Complainant (said) the check was changed to be addressed to (a woman) and the money changed to $6,055.60.

• At 12:45 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at a Station West Drive address. Complainant said the suspect “had a tab of supplies she had bought but never actually paid for from the company,” the report stated. “The complainant advised they were giving the suspect time to pay off the tab, (but) she had yet to do so and will not return any form of communication. Total value of supplies had a value listed at $3,000.

• At 5:38 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report identity theft from a Russfield Drive residence. “Complainant advised an unknown suspect used his name and address to open a Verizon account and bought two iPhones and an iPad. Complainant said he received a bill from Verizon Aug. 31 in the mail.

The bill was for $547 every month starting Sept. 17, 2024, and running through Aug. 13, 2027.
