DW Designs going online only
“I’m real excited to, basically, go back to my roots and going back to being online only,” said Dan Wilson, owner/designer of the business. “Obviously, over the last three to four years, since the pandemic, we have seen more of a trend for my customers to shop online.
“So, rather than continue to shell out the expenses of staffing and operating a storefront, I decided it would be best if we focused more on online only, which will also allow me to have more time to create not only for the DW brand, but for other people,” he added. “I do custom work as well — churches, schools and small businesses.”
Wilson said he expects to close the store location at the end of this month and go to an on-line only presence affective Tuesday, Oct. 1.
“Almost half of my income of my business is me assisting others with customer apparel and promotional items they need,” Wilson said.
To contact DW, e-mail hi@thedwdesigns.com. “Also, they can reach us on social media: direct message through Facebook or Instagram,” he added.
At the storefront, Wilson expanded the brand to include home goods, accessories such as key chains, drink ware, refrigerator magnets, license plates and “what we built the brand on,” which are hats, T-shirts and fleece apparel.
The storefront now is listed with Hatcher & Hill real estate.
“As I’m trimming down things, I will probably do away with the more breakable items, as they are more expensive and harder to ship,” Wilson said.
