Another top foe, another rough Ads loss

A couple of early scoring chances, thanks in large part to the running, scrambling and passing of Farragut junior quarterback Noah Haag, got FHS fans’ hopes up early at Cleveland against the unbeaten and No. 5 state-ranked Division I-6A Blue Raiders (4-0 overall, 1-0 in Region 2-6A). But the home team turned back the threats with a strong pass rush, then began pulling away in the second quarter thanks to some big plays and won this region game 32-7 Friday night, Sept. 13. The only points from Farragut (0-4, 0-1) came early in the fourth quarter on a 79-yard drive led by sophomore quarterback Corbin Hobson, who scored on a 1-yard sneak.

Admirals defenders Henry Dee (white jersey, left), senior strong safety, and Stephen Doubleday, junior defensive end, combine to make this stop on a CHS ballcarrier.
