Water Into Wine b&l to host RCF prime fundraiser Oct. 20
Rotary Club of Farragut is gearing up for its annual fall fundraiser, a wine tasting and pairing dinner event, starting at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, at Water Into Wine bistro & lounge, 607. N. Campbell Station Road, Farragut.
“This is our main fundraiser for 2024,” event chairman Craig Donnachie said, adding the success of this event will “set a good tone for next year.
“This is my first time chairing the event,” he added. “It’s exciting to me.”
Proceeds fund the club’s many projects, such as building beds for children in need through Sleep in Heavenly Peace, supporting schools, providing safe drinking water in under-developed countries and helping to eradicate polio across the globe.
The fundraiser also will feature a silent auction and cocktails, starting at 4 p.m., said RCF member Candace Viox, Water Into Wine owner,
The event is open to the public and tickets, which cost $125, are on sale now. They are available by going on the club’s website at www.farragutrotary.org or by e-mailing Donnachie at cwdonnachie@gmail.com
He said 60 tickets will be available, as that meets the capacity of the restaurant.
“The first wine pairing will be at 6 p.m.,” when dinner will be served,” Viox said. “It’s a three-course meal. The first course is appetizers; the second, soup or salad; and the third, a beef filet medallion. The fourth course (dessert) will not be served with alcohol.”
