• Priority Ambulance has announced Robyn Asher, training and quality assurance manager for East Tennessee, recently was named a 2024 American Ambulance Association Stars of Life Award recipient.

The Stars of Life Award is a “prestigious honor highlighting EMS professionals who go above and beyond in their service to the community,” a Priority press release stated. “Asher has been an integral part of Priority Ambulance since its inception. As the training and quality assurance manager, she leads EMT training programs, coordinates in-service and new employee training, manages the controlled medication program and ensures compliance with state regulations through her role in the state audit process.

“In addition, she liaises with the company’s medical director to maintain the highest standards of patient care,” the release added.

Asher began her career as a field EMT and critical care paramedic, reflecting her lifelong dedication to EMS. She continues to contribute to the broader EMS community by serving as an evaluator for Tennessee EMS practical testing.

Also receiving this award was Amanda McQuistian, director of Operations for Lifecare Medical Transports, among 13 from across the Priority family of companies to be selected.
