• At 9:57 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report a motor vehicle theft at Sleep Inn, Campbell Lakes Drive.
Complainant said he last saw the stolen dirt bikes at Sleep Inn at 11 p.m., Saturday night, Nov. 9. When he went out at 7 a.m. the next morning, he discovered the dirt bikes had been stolen.
Complainant advised, “There may be video surveillance from the Sleep Inn, but he would have to check,” the report stated.
• At 4:16 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, a KCSO unit responded to Casey’s, 701 N. Campbell Station Road, regarding a hit-and-run. An assistant manager said “a red four-door truck towing a camper struck the sign near the edge of the parking lot,” the report stated.
Manager also said the driver “did not stop and notify the property owners.”
No camera footage or license plate number could be obtained. Manager gave an estimate of $5,000 to fix the sign, but was unsure of the actual cost.
• At 6:22 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at a Dunlin Lane address.
Complainant said at 5:55 p.m. that day “he saw an unknown suspect steal his sign from the public property across the street from Turkey Creek Road.
Complainant advised the suspect went to a Turkey Creek Road address and got in the stolen vehicle and started to head into the residence.
Complainant said “he drove up and told the suspect to give him his sign back, but the suspect told him no, as it was on her property,” the report further stated.
