Farragut High School unveiled a new TSSAA-sanctioned sports program Monday night, Nov. 11, in Knoxville Central High School’s Dan Y. Boring Stadium: flag football. With a narrowed field width and 80 yards between goal-lines, games have 20-minute halves — with the clock continuously running, except when using a team timeout or during the final two minutes of each half. These new Lady Admirals played a doubleheader, first taking on Carter. Despite a 32-13 loss to the Lady Hornets, Farragut got a 23-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Harper Holmes to sophomore receiver Kambree Fontenot.

Holmes’ conversion (3-yard) pass to senior Keira Shafer added one more point. Senior quarterback Madison White fired a 21-yard scoring pass to sophomore receiver Reese Billings. In its second game immediately following, FHS lost to host Knox Central 34-0. These new Lady Admirals play at home in Eddie Courtney Stadium Monday, Nov. 18, squaring off versus South-Doyle starting at 5 p.m., then battling Career Magnet Academy beginning at 7 p.m.
