Promoting Farragut football All-Region honorees

Promoting three of his senior Farragut High School football All-Region 2-6A honorees and one junior second team 2-6A kicker for All-State consideration, first season Admirals skipper Geoff Courtney released statistics on all four recently:

Senior strong safety Kent Carbaugh, senior free safety/wide receiver Landon Collins, senior wide receiver/cornerback Robbie Jacobs and junior kicker/punter Ryan McCue.

Carbaugh (6-foot-2, 185-pounds) led the team in tackles (84) and tackles for loss (15). He also had two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and five pass breakups.

Collins (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) led the team in receiving yards (818) and receptions (54) and recorded three interceptions and 40 total tackles.

Moreover, “he will soon be named the Region 2-6A Two-Way Player of the Year,” Courtney stated.

Jacobs (6-foot, 170-pounds) led the team in TD catches with 50 receptions overall for 806 yards. He also had 35 tackles with five pass breakups.

McCue (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) was perfect kicking (26 of 26 on extra points and 7 of 7 on field goals), with three field goals more than 50 yards.

He had 17 downed punts inside the 20 yard line.
