Big wins, FHS girls/boys, at Science Hill

While the FHS girls edged out CCHS 37-35 in overtime, the Navy Blue and Gray improved their overall record to 6-2 following a 51-35 victory against West Ridge Saturday, Dec. 7. Leading the winning effort was senior guard Jaci Neubert, scoring a game-high 19 points, followed by McNealy who added 15. Other scorers were led by senior point guard Annie Priest, who scoring seven, with Reagan Sheridan’s six and two points each for Anna Corum and Trinity Curry. Meanwhile, the Farragut boys (6-2 starting the week) handed Sevier County its first loss of the season (4-1) in convincing fashion, beating the Smoky Bears 68-55 behind the scoring of senior wing Dominic VanAcker’s game-high 18 points. Close behind was junior forward Britton Lewis, who pumped in 17 followed by junior point guard Parker Lane’s 14 points. Other Admirals scorers were led by junior guard Daniel Lanning with eight, followed by Bryce Howard adding six, Ethan Farhat three and Brody Appling two points.
