Sweep of Lady Ads for HVMS girls
A 37-27 triumph at HVMS Monday night, Dec. 16, saw Hardin Valley claim the Battle of Turkey Creek prize after these Lady Hawks won at FMS earlier this season 34-30.
“I think my girls were ready and engaged to play,” HVMS head coach Alex Oliver said. “They looked good and did everything we asked of them — and they played hard, what more can I ask for?”
As for Hardin Valley’s record, “I think we are now 9-3,” Oliver said.
Individually for the Lady Hawks, Hannah Rhoden led in scoring with a game-high 10 points, followed by Annabelle Holmes scoring nine, Brynn Williams seven and Reese Galloway six points.
”They’re a great team and they’ve got really good size,” said FMS head coach Devan McIntyre, whose team fell to 7-4 in Knox County games, 12-5 overall. “They dominated the boards, and that really hurt us.
“We had opportunities on offense, we’ve just got to knock down the shots,” she added.
Farragut was led in scoring by Elin Rotan’s seven points, followed by Audrey Vann’s six and Jayna Carbaugh’s five.
