• A Christmas light music show runs from 6 to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and 6 to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, now through Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Farragut Golf and Games, 164 West End Ave.

The light show, featuring 240,000 LED pixels and taking the space of a hockey rink, is a Mission of Hope fundraiser and costs $5 per person.

• New Year’s at Noon is from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, in Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd.

This event is free and open to the public and does not require any registration.

“It’s geared toward younger children who aren’t going to make it to midnight on New Year’s Eve, but it still gives them a chance to celebrate,” said Rachel Malone, Town Recreation and Event manager. “The biggest draw for the event is we drop a net full of about 1,000 balloons from the top of the gym at noon.”

Youngsters also can enjoy crafts, snacks, games and various photo opportunities.
