Seniors Garrett Hawkins, right (fourth), and Gabe Allen (seventh), led Hardin Valley Academy to a TSSAA Division I-AAA Cross Country state title Nov. 8, in Hendersonville. Knoxville Catholic boys earned the Division II-AA cross country state crown led by Irish star runner Keegan Smith, a senior, who won his second individual state championship. Also All-State (top 15) were Radek Molchan (seventh) and Cade Duncanson (11th). Webb School of Knoxville girls captured the Division II-AA state title led by twins Calysta Garmer, state champ, and Jazzlyn Garmer, runner-up. plus Carolina Areheart, third, Emma Cissna, 12th, and Ariana Vargas, 15th.
