•At 5:06 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, Knox County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a Kingston Pike address concerning a vehicle fire. Complainant said he started his vehicle and heard a sound akin to a gas grill or stove lighting. He pulled over and began seeing smoke and flames from under the hood.
He exited the vehicle and called 911. Rural/Metro Fire responded and extinguished the fire.
• At 11:39 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a motor vehicle theft at U-Haul, 10833 Kingston Pike. Complainant said the suspect was due to return the rented vehicle at 6:55 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23, but failed to due so.
• At 9:24 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, a KCSO deputy was dispatched to a vehicle dealership along Parkside Drive to retrieve found firearms.
After several attempts were made, the owner could not be found. A KCSO records check confirmed the firearms were not stolen. The firearms were placed in the KCJ lockers for property pick up.
