• At 8:38 a.m., Friday, March 7, Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to 13044 Kingston Pike, Dixie Lee Wines & Liquors, in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.

“Deputies arrived on scene and observed a white male (suspect/arrestee), attempting to get in to the driver’s seat of a black Nissan Titan that was running,” the report stated. “Deputies made contact with (suspect/arrestee, who) had difficulty maintaining balance, (had) slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverage. ... (He) was read his Miranda rights and he agreed to speak to deputies.”

Suspect/arrrestee said he drank “approximately five to seven beers,” but later said he “had about a pint of vodka,” the report also stated. “He also said he had just arrived at the business and was the sole occupant of the vehicle.” Suspect/arrestee “refused to comply with Standardized Field Sobriety Test and was read the implied consent (and) refused to voluntarily give a blood sample for chemical testing. Deputies obtained a search warrant for (his) blood. Arrestee was transported to Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility where a blood draw was completed.”

• At 2:13 p.m., Sunday, March 9, deputies responded to a Parkside Drive address, Marshalls, regarding a possible overdose. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, “who was unconscious at the time but was able to be (awakened),” the report stated.

Victim said “he was just sleeping in the bathroom at the Marshalls,” the report further stated, also noting the victim “seemed confused.” AMR responded and transported him to Tennova Turkey Creek West Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
