Tennova Ortho, Foot-Ankle Turkey Creek celebrate
It cut the ribbon on Tennova Orthopedics Turkey Creek and Tennova Foot and Ankle Turkey Creek in Physicians Plaza, 10800 Parkside Drive Suite 207 beside Turkey Creek Medical Center, Wednesday, March 12. They actually opened last December.
“This is a culmination of a lot of work that we’ve been doing in the orthopedic space,” said Tony Benton, CEO of Tennova Healthcare East Market. “Our trauma program has been a very important part of our growth recently.
“We’ve seen dramatic growth in those different
areas,” he added. “We really started our orthopedics program with Dr. (Charles Daniel) Benson.
“I always like doctors who push us and we’re not pulling along,” Benton said. “… Dr. Benson really helped to jumpstart our orthopedics program, and this is an evolution of the growth that we’ve seen.”
“We’re very excited about this, not just being a clinic space but also what we’re
doing here from a trauma standpoint, a trauma program,” Benson said. “We think that’s going to be a huge asset to the community.
“Elective orthopedics is also a big space in the Knoxville market,” the doctor added. “There are a lot of people here, and we’re very excited about the team.”
Tennova Orthopedic is led by Tonya DeGuira, senior administrator; Robin Cumbie, director; and Kerry Kirby, office manager.
“Tennova Healthcare is thrilled to open our newest clinic, Tennova Orthopedics,” said Rylee Sawyer, Marketing coordinator for Tennova Healthcare’s East Tennessee Market. “With the addition of more providers and a newly designed facility, we are able to expand orthopedic services for the community.
This clinic also features Dr. Justin Jones in orthopedics.
These providers treat men, women and children ages 6 months and older, Sawyer said.
“We can usually offer same-day appointments,” she added.
“Tennova Orthopedics Turkey Creek provides a wide range of orthopedic services and treatments that are close to home for patients.”
In choosing a location, “Tennova Orthopedics experienced rapid growth, outgrowing their previous location in less than two years,” Sawyer said.
Tennova Foot and Ankle is led by Brent Harvin, D.P.M.
Both clinics combine to provide arthritis care, elbow surgery, foot and ankle surgery, joint replacement surgery, pain management, rehabilitation, shoulder surgery, spine care and sports medicine treatment, fracture care and evaluation and management of osteoporosis.
Clinics are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; closed on weekends.
