Forever Heard
A devastating mistake turned into a biz bringing joy to others

This Farragut High School Class of 2000 graduate and Hardin Valley resident has launched Forever Heard, in which guests of an event can leave a message to last a lifetime.
It was started last year while planning her wedding and selling her house — both at the same time.
She offers an “audio guestbook,” in which the guest of
a wedding or other special event leaves a recorded message on a phone, which she provides, intended to be permanent.
Pierre has a variety of styles of phones, depending on the style of the event, and she even offers a phone booth.
The initial seed for the idea was sown when she lost the voice mail of her late father.
“My dad passed three years ago this past January,” Pierre said. “When he passed, I had one voice mail left on my phone saved of his.”
However, “one night my phone did an update and I woke up and that message was gone,” she said. “I was like ‘oh my gosh, I have nothing with my father’s voice. I have nothing to remember him.’ I was really devastated.”
Since then, Pierre and her husband were packing up the house, getting ready to sell it, and found a greeting card from her father.
“He would always write little handwritten notes in our cards, so I kept a few of them,” she said. “One of them said, ‘Forever Heard, Forever Loved, Your dad.’
“At the time, I thought nothing of it,” Pierre recalled.
A couple months later, she attended the Pink Bride’s Show, where she was looking for a cool, innovative way to revamp her wedding. Pierre came across an audio guestbook a bride can use at her wedding.
“I remember thinking I didn’t see anything like this at the bride show,” she said. “I had never seen anyone at a wedding have it or another event. I remember thinking to myself ‘something like this would have been great to
have after I lost my dad’s voice message.’
“It would have been with me forever,” Pierre added. “It would have been permanent.”
Then, her plans for a business “came together in one big lump,” she said. “I started researching, got my LLC … for me (the business) was more than a gimmick or a trend.”
In coming up with a name for the business, she remembered her father’s handwritten note, “forever heard.”
