Farragut’s four schools united to present the 2nd Annual Shared Visions and Empty Bowls in Farragut High School Commons Monday, April 3.

The event served a dual purpose: providing an exhibit for and recognition to art students in kindergarten through 12th grade and to raise money for FISH Hospitality Pantries, 122 W. Scott Ave. in Knoxville, which provides groceries to more than 7,000 families in the Knoxville area each month.

Mary Catherine Adams, visual arts educator for Farragut Primary School, said the event was a huge success.

“We had an incredible evening celebrating our talented students and their amazing artwork,” she said. “The excitement and energy were contagious, and the support from our community was truly heartwarming.

And, “we’re thrilled to share that we raised $3,557 through the Empty Bowls portion of the event, benefiting FISH Hospitality Pantries of Knoxville,” Adams added. “Thank you to everyone who came out, participated and contributed to this meaningful cause.

“We’re so proud of our students and grateful for the continued support of the Farragut Schools community.”
