HVA walks off Ads 2-1; but a Hawks win or a tie?

And to hear HVA head coach Ray Dover talk after the match, he said his boys “had to win this thing” in overtime, in which they needed just 1:40 of OT to get the job done.
However, Farragut head coach Bradley Culbreth said because the match was 1-1 after 80 regulation minutes, it’s considered a tie.
Agree to disagree?
“It wasn’t our best match, from a tactical standpoint or moving the ball, but it was one of our better matches from a desire standpoint. That’s what matters to me,” Dover said.
About the OT goal, “We had been composed in moving the ball out of the back and then switched it, and that’s where it started,” the HVA coach added. “You always look at where it starts, and it started with a great pass from the goalkeeper (Adam Leonard).”
Dover said the Hawks’ record improved to 9-2-2 overall, 4-1 in District 4-AAA. Culbreth said the Ads’ record after this match was 8-3-2, 2-1-1.
Hardin Valley had to overcome a penalty kick goal from Admiral Franklin Von Hagen in the 50th minute. They did so just 90 seconds later with Brophy’s goal from 20 yards.
There was more to overcome. Because of a red card against HVA, the Hawks were a man down the final 22:06 of the second half and in OT.
“They were down a man. All you can do is commend them; they executed,” Culbreth said.
However, “We can play with anybody. ... It’s a five-headed monster (in district),” he added.
