Adding to her Knox Area Women’s Golf Association championship effort in the spring, Jillian King also took home the Fox Den County Club 18-Hole Ladies Club Championship early Thursday afternoon, July 24, edging 2024 Club champ Stephanie Haywood 2 Up. King defeated Donna Farinella (7 & 6) in quarterfinal play Tuesday, July 22, then was victorious versus Lynna Rader (also 7& 6) in the semifinals Wednesday, July 23. King, who drank her favorite brew out of her title cup, acknowledged her fellow club members’ applause. She received her awards from Danny Ackerman, left, FDCC PGA head professional, and from Andrew Thimjon, FDCC first assistant golf professional.
