Two teams remain undefeated

Week 2 of the 2025 high school football season is now in the rear-view mirror and only two teams remain undefeated in the quest for area gridiron supremacy in the farragutpress How the West was Won will be presented by Billy Houston Group, Realty Executives.

Action commenced Thursday, Aug. 28, as Knoxville Catholic High School continued its two-game road trip with an impressive 28-7 victory over Class 4A power Anderson County in Clinton in a regionally televised contest in Clinton.

The Irish (2-0) jumped out to a 14–7 lead before blowing things open against the Mavericks (0-1) with a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Mack Bartholomew finished 15-for-23 through the air, amassing 287 yards. He threw a touchdown pass to Tyreek King. Bartholomew also had five carries for 70 yards against Anderson County.
