Athletes from three area high schools competed at the Victor Ashe Park Fall Classic Saturday boys cross country meet over the weekend.

Farragut High School won the event on Saturday as three of its runner posted top-10 finishes and all five of its scorers placed inside the top-20.

The Admirals, who finished with 55 team points, were led by Chase Temples. Temples came in third as he crossed the finish line in 16 minutes, 38.20 seconds.

Andrew Cabniss finished fifth for Farragut with a time 16:31.60. Nick DeGuira was 10th as he posted a time of 17:00.40. Tyson Ebbert came in 18th (17:25.90) and Anders Kofoed was 19th (17:26.90).

Hardin Valley Academy was second in the tram standings. The Hawks scored 59 team points. Cooper McKaig took sixth and was HVA’s top finisher as he crossed the finish line in 16:53.40. Aiden Rufi was seventh (16:57.89). JD Rutig was 11th as he posted a time of 17:07.80. Isaac Socha was 15th (17:17.40). Brody VanMeter came in 20th as heee crossed the finish line in 17:27.60.

Bearden had four runners in action Saturday, one short of the number to be eligible for a team score.

Alexander Montpelier was 85th for the Bulldogs as he finished the 5,000-mrter course in 19:20.90. Reid Townsend was 196th (20:08.50). Judd Graves was 146th (21:41.00) and Grayson Haun was 203rd (24:15.10).

Hardin Valley Academy’s girls cross country team won the Victor Ashe Park Fall Classic, answering an early-morning wake-up call to compete on the 5,000-meter course in Northwest Knoxville.

The Lady Hawks swept the first three spots. Alexandra Vesser won the event as she crossed the finish line in 18 minutes, 55.20 seconds. Rachel Benson came in second as she posted a time of 19:38.50. Ava Woodyat took the third spot as she posted a time of 20:51.90.

Ava Berkheimer came in 15th (20:51.90) and Zarah Enborm rounded out the scoring as she finished 28th with a time of 21:21. 60. Hardin Valley scored with 49 team points.

Farragut, meanwhile, finished second as the Lady Admirals tallied 78 team points. Zoi LeCours was Farragut’s top finisher. She came in seventh (20:17.80). Addison Haynes was eighth (20:23.10). Christie George posted a 13th-place finish as she crossed the finish line in 20:45.80. Bailey Ann Smith was 16th (20:56.10), while Emmy Graber was 35th (21:48.60).

Bearden finished 20th with 460 team points.

Brielle Pickett finished 39th (21:55.00). Saibh O’Neill took 102nd (34:19.20). Peyton Hall was 109th (24:33.70). Mia Smalley came in 129th, posting a time of 25:45.90. Riley Dixon came in 162nd (28:06.40).
