Spartan Alum Wes Roach ’07 to Be Inducted Into Webb Athletic Hall of Fame
KNOXVILLE, October 1, 2025 – Webb School of Knoxville is proud to announce that Spartan alum Wes Roach, Webb Class of 2007, will be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame, Friday, October 24, 2025, during halftime of the Webb vs. Chattanooga Christian varsity football game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The ceremony, held at David Meske Stadium, will be one of the highlights of Webb’s Spartan Alumni Weekend.
Roach has distinguished himself in golf at Webb, in collegiate competition and at the professional level. During his time as a Spartan, Roach was a dominant force on the golf course. He collected All-Region and All-State honors all four years of his high school career, claimed three region championships and secured the TSSAA state title in 2007. Roach went on to compete at Duke University where he was a consistent top performer for the Blue Devils. He earned Academic All-American Team honors as a junior and PING/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) all-region kudos his junior and senior seasons. In addition, his play at the 2011 NCAA Golf Championships helped propel his team to the semifinals.
Roach graduated from Duke in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, turning professional shortly thereafter and gaining notable success on the professional golf circuit. A three-time graduate of the Korn Ferry Tour, he notched one victory, two runner-up finishes and 16 top-10 results. Having earned his PGA Tour card, Roach spent five seasons on tour, recording five top-10 appearances, including a career-best third-place showing in 2019.

Webb’s Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes Spartan alumni who have achieved outstanding athletic success at Webb School and beyond, competing at the highest levels of their sport. Inductions are granted on a case-by-case basis. This year’s honor for Wes Roach celebrates his exceptional accomplishments and lasting impact on the game of golf.
