Hawks go combined 4 of 6 games
KNOXVILLE — Hardin Valley Academy basketball teams combined to win four of six games during the Gibbs Thanksgiving Classic at Gibbs High School last week.
Head coach Andy Arendt’s Hawks won all three of their contests to improve to 4-3 entering this week.
“It was a good opportunity to get some people some playing time,” Arendt said. “We showed some improvement in areas where we needed to improve. But we’ve got a long way to go.”
Head coach Jennifer Galloway’s Lady Hawks won one of three games, standing 2-3 to start the week.
“We’re young,” Galloway said. “We lost about 90 percent of scoring and rebounding from last season’s team.
“We can see growth and improvement every game. I just think we’ll be a completely different team at the end of the season.”
