I found the Letter to the Editor by the South Ward alderman candidate to be interesting and somewhat selective in his criticism. He chose to point out the mayoral candidate and another South Ward alderman candidate (both of whom are running for office), as engaging with constituents and sharing useful information about upcoming meetings to all residents of Farragut. Isn’t that what the residents want?

This candidate has publicly stated at numerous meetings that the elected officials are not doing enough to get the word out, yet no criticisms of the other mayoral candidate that he supports. I have NEVER seen anything posted by the current North alderman providing agenda’s, meetings, opportunities to speak, etc. It raises an obvious question: Why single out only certain candidates while ignoring another in similar positions? This does not come across as an objective observation, but rather as something that feels more like a political advertisement than a balance commentary.

What is the cost of the Boyd Station Road construction work that the Town has to pay? I understand it's over $2 million. My question, too, is how much is the developer of the houses off of Boyd Station paying for the road widening and the roundabout? But I understood the Town's cost was over $2 million. The paper should check that out to see what the answer to that question is. And is it on schedule? That road work's been going on for a long time at Boyd Station Road. And is it on schedule? And is that correct? The cost to the Town is over $2 million. Thank you.
