Farragut, Hardin Valley athletes post strong state finishes
Several area high school track and field athletes closed out the 2026 outdoor season at the TSSAA Class AAA Championships Thursday, May 21, at Tom Black Track at University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Farragut High School’s boys had three relay teams post top finishes at the meet.
The Admirals’ 4x400-meter relay team finished second with a time of 3 minutes, 18.36 seconds. Farragut’s 4x800-meter relay team took fourth with a time of 8:00.82 seconds. The
Ads’ 4x200-meter relay team took eighth with a time of 1:29.11.
Distance specialist Sam Shagan finished sixth in the 3200-meter run as he crossed the finish line in 9:30.56.
The Lady Admirals’ 4x400-meter relay team finished seventh (4:01.63). Their 4x200 team was 11th (1:45.04).
Peyton Edmunds was sixth in the pole vault with a mark of
9 feet, 6 inches, while
Zoi LeCours was seventh in the girls 3200 (11:11.63).
For Hardin Valley Academy, the Lady Hawks had a trio of distance specialists post top-10 finishes in the 3200-meter run. Ana Berkheimer was fifth (10:56.74). Alexandra Vesser came in eighth (11:14.90) and Zarah Enbom was 10th (11:29.31).
Vesser finished fifth in the 1600-meter run (5:02.41) while Berkheimer was sixth (5:02.88).
Naomi Burum finished ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 36-3.5.
HVA’s girls 4x800 relay team finished fifth (9:36.24).
For the Hawks, sprinter Nicolas Rivers finished fifth in the 100-metter dash (10.76 seconds) and 10th in the 200-meter dash (32.34).
For Bearden, Muhamed Seck finished seventh in the boys triple jump (45-3.5).
Cooper Jones finished ninth in the high jump (6-0) and 12th in the long jump (20-3) while Evan Fisher took 11th in the 300-meter hurdles (40.35 seconds).
Lily Johnson was 15th in the girls 100-meter dash (12.71 seconds) and Peyton Dial was 16th in the discus with a throw of 83-9.
