Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

As a Farragut resident and voter, I’ve been paying attention to the mayoral race and the messages coming from each campaign.

One thing that stands out to me is the decision by one candidate to revisit old news involving Mr. Cain rather than spending that time emphasizing her own qualifications, ideas, and vision for Farragut’s future. Campaigns should be opportunities to present solutions, discuss priorities, and earn support based on leadership and policy; not on criticism of an opponent’s past.

It’s also worth remembering that the position of Farragut Mayor is a volunteer role with no salary attached.

That makes it even more disappointing to see negative campaigning enter the conversation rather than a focus on service to the community.

As voters, we should ask questions, evaluate each candidate’s plans, and make informed decisions based on what each person wants to accomplish for Farragut.

I hope this election stays centered on respectful dialogue, transparency, and the future of our town.

Corey P. Kreisler,

Farragut
