Kingston Pike was packed with patriotic parade-goers on Saturday, July 4, during the Town of Farragut’s annual Independence Day parade, which followed the annual Farragut Freedom Run. The event held an even deeper meaning than usual, as America’s 250th anniversary was celebrated in Farragut and across the country. Children tossed footballs and softballs while awaiting the parade floats, which were preceded by local Boy Scout troop 444 carrying the Independence Day banner.
Other parade participants included the Farragut High School Marching Admirals, Farragut Mayor Ron Williams and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, among several others.
