Maverick plans major workforce in Farragut

Zach Thomas, Jordan Liles and Mantonio Rondinone joined senior directors, Horizon Insurance owner Mat Cacace, and many others for the grand opening celebration.
“We are truly grateful that you guys came to share this moment with us,” Rondinone said. “One thing we have learned greatly is the power of faith, the power that one man can have.
The company expects to have 1,000 employees in the 45,000-square-foot building with plans to grow.
“I welcome this group because they are what makes this Town work,” Farragut Mayor Ron Williams said. “The opportunity for them to be here, the vision they have, is what makes Farragut.
“We’re a very close-knit group of citizens,” he said. “We’re now 26,000 strong.
When Williams started serving the Town 10 years ago, he said the population was less than 20,000.
He said developer Jim Nixon’s crew built the structure, which now will house Maverick Insurance and Horizon Insurance, both under the FFL umbrella.
“They were able to put together a building that would be an opportunity spot for a program like you see today,” the mayor said. “It’s something we’re very proud to have in town. This type of organization, this type of vision, is what make our Town grow and continue to have more participants we see here today.”
While Maverick Insurance is an independent sales agency, it is partnered with and directly under the corporate umbrella of Family First Life, which was founded by Shawn Meaike, its current president, “who had the faith to build something great,” Rondinone said.
Although Meaike could not attend, he videoed a message, “Congratulations on the entire team for opening another office,” the FFL president said. “It’s one of those things where, at Family First Life, we look at being in business with people that we’re very proud to be in business with. I’m really proud and honored to be in business with you all.”
“I believe these individuals I’ve had the honor of working next to here are, hands down, without question, some of the greatest human beings to walk this Earth,” Rondinone said. When asked, “How did you guys do this?” “The answer is love,” he answered. “We just cared more than the next person did. And, that’s what we want to give every single employee.”
“I met Josh and Zach when they would come to the restaurant and regularly start planning this whole concept and this whole idea,” said Candace Viox, Water Into Wine Bistro and Lounge owner and Shop Farragut/Farragut Business Alliance president.
“They would run things back,” she said. “They wanted to know information about the community, and they were really just doing a lot of homework before they decided to actually rent or procure a 45,000-square-foot space in Farragut.
“And, it’s so exciting the jobs they’re going to bring in to our community,” Viox added. “
