July 29 — Identity theft:
A woman reported that a suspect used her personal information to open a Discover credit card. She learned of the account and an unfamiliar address while reviewing her credit information through Knoxville TVA Employees Federal Credit Union.
July 30 —
Building materials stolen:
A complainant reported that five rolls of synthetic roofing felt valued at $655 were stolen from a construction site on Red Poppy Drive. The theft occurred sometime between July 24 and July 27. The report lists the suspect as unknown.
July 31 — Identity theft:
A man reported that a suspect used his personal information and account PIN to transfer his home telephone number from TDS Telecom to another network. The man said he had never used the PIN and did not know how the suspect obtained it.
Aug. 2 — Collectibles
stolen from estate sale:
A man reported three suspects stole a framed stamp collectible and two Disney wreaths during an estate
sale on Admiral Road. The items had a combined reported value of $1,270. The suspects reportedly left together in a white Ford pickup truck with Claiborne County registration.
Aug. 5 — Campaign
sign vandalized:
A complainant provided investigators with video showing a suspect stop a vehicle on Concord Road, walk onto a property and damage a Monty Fritts for governor campaign sign valued at $80. Detectives identified the suspect and issued a misdemeanor citation with a court date, according to the report.
Aug. 10 — Cash stolen
from vehicle:
A man reported $600 in cash was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at
Buffalo Wild Wings on Parkside Drive. The theft reportedly occurred between 5 and 11 p.m. The man reported no damage to the vehicle.
Aug. 16 — Property
lost from vehicle:
A woman reported a suitcase containing personal documents, a cellphone and other belongings was lost after the trunk of her vehicle apparently opened as she drove away from a business on Brooklawn Street. She believed the suitcase fell from the vehicle and planned to contact the business to see whether the property had been found.
Aug. 17 — Vehicles
burglarized:
A man and woman reported a suspect entered two vehicles on Plumb Creek Circle. Surveillance video reportedly showed a man entering a Jeep Wrangler and a Cadillac. A portable charger valued at $55 and a purse valued at about $180 containing personal documents and other belongings were reported stolen. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
