New DRE joins St. John Neumann school, parish
“Maria comes to us from Cincinnati, Ohio, and has spent the past five years serving as a high school theology teacher in the Archdioceses of Cincinnati and Indianapolis,” SJN’s website stated. “She earned her degree in religious education from Marian University in Indianapolis and is excited to serve St. John Neumann ... not only as our DRE, but also as a religion teacher in our parish school.”
“Raised Catholic, Maria truly fell in love with her faith during high school while attending several youth retreats, an experience that continues to inspire her passion for forming young disciples,” the website added. “She has a strong devotion to the saints, counting St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Augustine of Hippo and St. Thomas Aquinas among her favorites.
“Maria recently relocated to Knoxville ahead of her wedding to fiancé, William, this September,” it stated. “After that, she will officially be Mrs. Grisales. She can’t wait to begin this new chapter and become part of the SJN parish and school community.
“As we welcome Maria, we also extend our deepest gratitude to Julie Radachy for her faithful and dedicated service as our director of religious education,” the website added. “Julie has poured her heart into forming our children and families in the faith, and her impact on our parish will be felt for years to come.”
