Saint John Neumann prepares for Harvesting for Him fall festival
Saint John Neumann Catholic Church and School welcome the community to its annual Mustang Miler 5K and Fun Run and its Harvesting for Him fall festival.
The Mustang Miler 5K and Fun Run will take place from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at the school, 625 St. John Court.
“The 5K will start and finish at the St. John Neumann Catholic School and Church property and will use the Grigsby Chapel Greenway, where participants will run east on the greenway and then turn around at the trailhead at the Park and Ride lot at the west end of Campbell Lakes Drive to return to the start,” Town Community Development director Mark Shipley told Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen Thursday, Sept. 24.
“This is the same course that has been used previously and officers will be stationed at major road crossings,” he said, adding the event is anticipated to have about 75 adults and 50 children participating and about 150 spectators.
The Mustang Miler will be followed by the fall festival Sunday, Oct. 18 at the church and school.
Sponsored by NerdsToGo Knoxville, Adkisson & Roth Commetic and Family Dentistry, the free event offers games, a cake walk, food trucks, beverages and other features.
