A little fall fun, a lot of heart
The studio begins the season with a Halloween version of its Fall 5K Fundraiser.
“Lace up your walking shoes and get those costumes ready,” Sierra Schreiber, events coordinator, said. “We’ll stroll 3.1 miles along the scenic greenways behind the studio — no racing — just fresh air, fall fun and great company.”
Join Blue Ridge Yoga at noon, Saturday, Oct. 31, at the studio, 623 N. Campbell Station Road for this event. Registration is $29 with proceeds benefitting Smoky Mountain Service Dogs.
“Everyone receives a bib at the start and a medal at the finish, so come walk with us and make a difference,” Schreiber said.

The celebration continues with a Friendsgiving Potluck.
“Good food always tastes better when it’s shared with friends,” Schreiber said. “Join us on Saturday, Nov. 14, at noon for our annual Friendsgiving Potluck, an afternoon of delicious dishes, laughter and catching up with your Blue Ridge Yoga community.
“Have a family-favorite recipe?” she asked. “We’d love for you to share it.
“Prefer to leave the cooking to someone else? That’s perfectly fine, too,” Schreiber said. “Having you there is what matters most. Friends and family are welcome, so bring your favorite people along. Just be sure to register on Walla.
“We can’t wait to gather around the table, share a little gratitude and maybe go back for seconds,” she said.
The fall season rounds out with a gratitude workshop noon, Saturday, Nov. 21, “a special workshop focused on slowing down, reflecting on what we appreciate and finding meaningful ways to share that gratitude with others,” Schreiber said. “Sometimes the smallest gestures can mean a lot.
“We’ll spend time with gentle breath work and guided reflection before putting pen to paper to write cards for nurses, veterans, first responders and others who deserve a little extra love and recognition,” she said. “Come enjoy a cozy afternoon of mindfulness, connection and kindness,” Schreiber added. “You might just leave feeling a little more grateful and knowing you’ve brightened someone else’s day, too.”
